Center for Learning & Activities

As a community, we rely on each other to fulfill our needs and enrich our lives. Each individual is valued and respected for their unique contributions.

The Center for Learning and Activities (CLA2) is a program with the multi-purpose of providing social opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities while also providing a place to learn new skills in a friendly, safe, and attentive atmosphere.

  • The program will be held on one Friday each month.
  • The program is open to individuals with developmental disabilities ages 18 and up.
  • The cost will be $30.00 for the evening, which includes the cost for dinner. There may be occasional additional activity expenses ($10-$20) for certain activities (it will be posted ahead of time if these extra fees apply). Individuals that sign up in advance for multiple evenings will be eligible for a discount.
  • Each evening will consist of introductions with additional social, communication, and safety skills training.
  • Other activities include: computers, music & dance, movies, drum circles, art.
  • Guest speakers will present a variety of topics such as pet care, the value of service dogs and therapy animals, scrapbooking, makeovers, budgeting, photography, gardening, safety awareness, and more.
  • Participants will be assisted in preparing simple dinner meals that can be made without a stove.
